My Home Sweet Home…

 The Hartford Memorial Baptist Church, working in their Minister of service, feeding 150 unit’s of men and women of Veteran’s of Piquette Square Permanent Housing for the Homeless Veteran, 6221 Brush St. Detroit, MI.

Yes!! Sir..Hartford Memorial is serving dinner @ 5:00 pm to a bunch of hungry men and women that has served our country proudly and now Hartford Memorial is proudly is serving the Piquette Square Dinner faithfully.

 Hi..I’m De Derrick USAF Veteran, Hair Stylist/Barber/Blogger, Mel’s Salon & Associate’s 6080 Woodward Ave., Detroit, MI.

I’ve looking forward to this festive day ever since I noticed it on our calendar of events at the Square were I’m a tenet.

 Today is the day! and now it’s here…hallelujah and Praise.

No to cooking tonight a Hartford Dinner, what a delight.

Last year, was my first close encounter with the church members.

I had just move into the Square, and Hartford Memorial was serving dinner.

At the time I was new to the Square and thought this was a kind jester of service for the men and women that served our Country.

I’ve visited Hartford on an occasion…I believe it was a wedding but after this second feast I will call the church and make arrangements for Praise and Worship Services.

I’m so thankful that the church takes time out of their busy schedule to feed a Veteran…God Bless Hartford Memorial Baptist Church.

Before, I go any further with this Blog, or even think of sitting down to eat before I give thanks, for Grace and Mercy for this day and I’m  so ever Grateful for my profession as a Hair Stylist/Blogger.

Follow me… while the Hartford Dinner is being prepared, as I walk you through 1 day in the Life Style of a Hair Stylist/Blogger.

9:00 am… A walk in, I’m glad I’m on duty.

It was one of my regulars, I worked him in and he appreciated the short notice call, I was here in scoring potion…even through my next appointment would be at 2:00 am I always start my day off at 9:00 am.

After the hair cut, I had a chance to go over my Blog notes and Internet Business, and styled my hair for this evening for  Dinner Tonight.

12:45 am…Lunch time 

 Coby, the salon shampoo girl, birthday was today…I ate enough but I was holding back and holding out for the Hartford Dinner.

2:00 pm… I like to introduce Gail

  

 Gail, a long time client, that enjoys the easy of a short cut and curl shampoo/condition and that’s a wrap.

4:30 pm…, Last and finial cut before dinner, meet Denzel Denzel is a bright and upcoming student, studying in Math and holds a grade point average that has given him recognition and awards…he also has some award-winning waves.

 

5:15 pm… Now that the work is done I’m now at the Square with the Dinner table set for The Vet’s.

My next door neighbor, Big Daddy Earl was all ready in potion, and was throwing down but pause for a moment before Grace.

The dinner table was set for a feast, and along with a desert  table that added a sweet touch for this Dinner…and to have so many Ladies that offer their time in the ministry of service, serving  Veteran’s at their home front.. God is smiling on you and I salute you.

I meet up with the men out side on the Patio Square.

I ask them about the Praise and Worship service and informed them of my feeling of Worship and they a sure me that I would enjoy the services.

Last word: Personally, I thank God and the Church in may own personal way.

I also signed, the thank you card form the Piquette Vet’s @ The Square to the church.

Show Time

Show Time… Show Time…. let the Blogging begin…

The Hair Show Blogger starts with a Thanks to God for strength, mind-set and the genuine know how to make a Blog happen.

Blogging is new experience in writing on The Internet that I just took to with ease because of the fact I can type…you I was a Clerk Typist USAF and never forgotten the key board.

Today my typing speed is about 85 wpm, with 2 or 3 errors…So today I’m thankful for the skills in the typing pool making use of my military MO to be able to Salute to all Veterans Men and Woman that have die and went on to Glory…

I met Sheila this year from a business card that I picked up on  Woodward, Detroit I was in need of some alterations and called her and it turns out that we had a common interest in Fashion &  Style and as a Hair Stylist the two worlds complement each other.

One day I was told of the up coming Veteran Blog and she said she was a Veteran…and If that wasn’t enough let me introduce you to her Son PFC Crumpton, Air Borne…Active Duty

We have Keith Matthew holding The village down as the salon owner and Hair Stylist. I meet Keith on The Hair War stage as I watch the smooth dude with suited up each performance…back stage as I prepared for my hair show skit as The Hair Fighter. Today Keith as some style to show how he can possible or maybe become your Hair Fighter.

And, to nail you down with nail artists her name is Merritt and her Designs speaks for itself. I meet Merritt last year from networking from the hair magazine…I call her one day and told her who I was and invited her to join in with The Fun..notice Merrith play.

Hi I’m De Derrick, and I would like to take this time to Share with you this:

I wrote, these lonely words to encourage myself and to encourage some one else  that may be sittng in their Secret Garden.

I Love to write in The Plaza Square…the center of The Circle Square where all things happen.

I’m going on my 2nd here @  Piquette Square, and I feel that this is the best of the best… in living conditions that I ever had since my birth place at home with Ma & Dad.

 I’m looking forward to the 3rd…who know’s what, can happen when Life is Happy in the Garden!

I’m in your corner… with all the love and infection that you will ever need, the air you breathe, green grass, birds of the air, bugs, tree’s flower’s insects; in general all of God’s Creation is Mine, and even more, for you see I put them in the garden just for you.

I’m in your corner…  try standing on my promises and see that I will always keep my word, to be with you nor never leave you… you are my children and I’m your God.

I’ve guided you through the most difficulty storms of your life, bring you out but showing you the way like the beacon from the harbor’s lighthouse shinning the light of truth to easy and quite all of your Storms in Life.

I’m in your corner… hold on tight , I still have plans for you yet!

I’ve mention to you… three time of my Corner Affair and devotion that I have with you…now my Son, tell me of your Corner Phase that you have with me.

My, Dear Lord God and Heavenly Father, my thoughts for you go on and on daily and will never stop as long as I breathe the air, and they are the thoughts behind true nature of thanks you for grace and Mercy and your Love. 

By Studying of your Word  I’ll know better, in the following  of your Son Jesus that will nurture in my Life to help myself to help other’s…and finally, Father, allowing to the Holy Spirit to continue to dwell and work through me, as I learn to listen softly to its calling to The next Corner Phase of my Life.
